Web design and SEO, one job, not two providers
Most businesses hire a web designer, then a separate SEO provider to fix what the designer didn't plan for. Troov does both, planned together from the first keyword to every month after launch, for about half what an agency charges for the same work.
the problem
The gap between the designer and the SEO is where rankings go missing
Here's how it usually goes. A designer builds a site that looks great and signs it off. A few months later, you hire an SEO provider because nobody can find it. Their first job is an audit, and their first finding is that half the site needs rebuilding: pages nobody searches for, a structure Google can't follow, and a platform that's slow on phones.
So you pay twice. Once to build it, and again to undo decisions that were made before anyone asked what your customers actually search for.
Google's own advice is that the best time to bring in SEO is when you're planning a new site or a redesign, and the earlier the better. That's the whole idea behind this page.
Google's own advice
of sites never won back their Google traffic after moving domain
Search Engine Journal tracked 892 domain migrations. On average, sites took 523 days to get back to the traffic they had before the move, and 17% still hadn't after 1,000 days. The fastest recovered in under three weeks. Much of what decides which end you land on gets settled during the build, which is exactly when most businesses haven't spoken to anyone about SEO.
Whats included
Web design, SEO and marketing, planned as one
Keyword map before the sitemap
Every page on your new site is decided by keyword research, not guesswork. What gets built is what people are searching for.
Structure built to rank
URLs, navigation and internal links are planned from that keyword map, so Google can follow the site the way your customers do.
A platform chosen for search, not just looks
Speed, editing and technical flexibility are weighed before the build starts, not discovered at the first audit.
Tracking from day one
Analytics, Search Console and enquiry tracking go live at launch, so there's a clean baseline to measure every month of SEO against.
No gap after launch
The ongoing SEO starts where the build finishes. No onboarding period, no new provider learning your business from scratch.
One monthly plan
Site improvements and SEO work sit in the same plan, decided by what's actually bringing in enquiries.
Three SEO decisions most businesses make without an SEO in the room
Which pages exist
Every page you don't build is a search you can't rank for. Deciding the sitemap before the keyword research means guessing, and guesses are expensive to fix after launch.
What the site is built on
Some platforms limit what you can change: URLs, page titles, structured data, even which pages can exist. Better to find that out at the build than the month your SEO needs something the platform won't allow.
How pages link together
Internal links tell Google which pages matter most. Planned at the build, they cost nothing. Retrofitted later, they mean reworking menus, templates and content.
how it works
One plan, from first keyword to month twelve
Research first, design second, and no pause between launch and the work that gets the site found.
01
Research
Keyword and competitor research to find the searches worth winning, and what's currently ranking for them.
02
Plan and design
The sitemap, page structure and design are all built from that research. Each page has a job and a search it's meant to rank for.
03
Build and launch
The site goes live with tracking in place and a baseline recorded, ready for SEO from day one.
04
Rank and grow
Monthly SEO picks up straight from the launch plan. We keep improving what's working and fixing what isn't, based on real enquiry data.

The build is a one-off $1,500 to $5,000, paid upfront and scoped to your site. The SEO runs from $1,000 a month, month to month, starting the month you launch. There's no standing bundle discount. The real saving is the re-audit, the rework and the second onboarding you'll never need.
What doing both looks like
A designer plus an SEO provider, or one SEO web developer
An SEO web developer builds your site with ranking in mind from the first page, then stays on to do the ranking. Here's how that compares with the usual route.
Designer, then a separate SEO provider
Pages are planned around how the site looks, then the SEO provider works out which searches they might rank for.
The SEO provider starts with an audit of someone else's work, and you pay for the rework it uncovers.
When rankings stall, the designer blames the SEO and the SEO blames the build.
Web design and SEO from Troov
Keyword research comes first, so every page is planned around a search your customers actually make.
No re-audit and no rework. The plan used to build the site becomes the SEO plan for month one.
One person answers for both, so there's no one else to point at.

Legal & Professional Services
First impressions matter in law. We design websites that communicate credibility and trust from the first scroll, then keep them updated with fresh content and strong local visibility.

Medical & Allied Health
Patients are searching for you online before they ever pick up the phone. We make sure what they find is professional, up to date, and easy to navigate across every device.

Every client gets a website designed around their business, not a template with their logo dropped in. And every client gets ongoing management as standard, because a website that isn't maintained is a website that falls behind.

qUESTIONS & aNSWERS
Web design and SEO questions, answered
When is the right time to bring SEO into a website project?
Before the design starts. Google's own guidance says the best time to hire an SEO is when you're planning a new site or a redesign, and the earlier the better, so the site is built to be search-friendly from the ground up. Bringing SEO in after launch still works. It just usually starts with fixing things.
What's an SEO web developer, and do I need one?
Someone who builds websites and does SEO, so the two are planned together instead of handed over. You don't strictly need one. You'll just need a designer and an SEO provider who genuinely talk to each other, and in practice that's rarer than it should be.
Is there a discount for doing both?
There's no standing bundle discount. Any sign-on offer is worked out case by case. The saving that matters is structural: no second audit, no rework of the build, and no months lost while a new provider gets up to speed.
What happens between launch and the first month of SEO?
Nothing stops. The keyword map used to plan the site becomes the SEO plan, tracking is already live, and month one starts with a baseline instead of an audit.
