Mechanic website design that gets you found and booked

Drivers pick a workshop on three things: reviews, how easy it is to book, and whether you work on their car. Troov builds websites for Melbourne mechanics that answer all three before anyone picks up the phone, then runs the SEO that keeps the bookings coming.

the problem

Where most workshop websites lose the booking

"Call to book" and nothing else.

Plenty of drivers want to book at 10pm, not 10am. No online booking means they book somewhere that has it.

Nothing about logbook servicing.

Loads of new car owners still think they have to go back to the dealer to keep their warranty. If your site doesn't say otherwise, they will.

No sign of what you actually work on.

European specialist? 4WD? Hybrids? A generic "all makes and models" line tells nobody you're the right workshop for their car.

1 July 2022

Since 1 July 2022, car makers have had to sell the same service and repair information to independent workshops that dealers get. The ACCC's position is that an independent mechanic can stamp the logbook without affecting the warranty, as long as the work follows the manufacturer's specs with quality parts. Most drivers don't know this. The workshop whose site explains it wins the service.

what it needs

A mechanic website built around the booking

Online booking that works

Pick a service, pick a time, done. It connects to your workshop software where possible.

Logbook servicing explained

A clear page on warranty-safe servicing, so new car owners stop defaulting to the dealer.

Makes and specialties up front

The brands and vehicle types you know best, each with its own page if it's worth ranking for.

Roadworthy certificates, done right

If you're a Licensed Vehicle Tester, give RWCs their own page. Sellers search for them constantly.

Your VACC and trade credentials

Memberships, qualifications and warranty on your work, where people are deciding.

A Google profile that fills the hoist

Hours, services and photos that match the site, plus reviews that keep coming.

Three things to decide before your workshop site gets built

Which jobs you want more of

Logbook services, brakes, diagnostics, RWCs. The jobs you'd like more of are the ones that should get their own pages.

Which cars you want in the bays

Specialising doesn't mean turning work away. It means the right customers find you first. Pick the makes to lead with.

How bookings actually land

Online booking, a phone call or a form. Decide what fits the workshop's day before the site is designed around it.

how it works

From first chat to a full booking sheet

Research first, then the build, then the SEO that keeps you there.

01

Research

What drivers in your area search for, from "logbook service" to "roadworthy near me", and who's ranking now.

02
Plan and design

Service and make pages mapped out, designed around the booking button.

03

Build and launch

Live with booking and call tracking, so you know what the site's bringing in.

04

Rank and grow

Monthly SEO and Google profile updates as your workshop grows.

The build is a one-off $1,500 to $5,000, paid upfront. A single workshop with core services sits at the lower end. Online booking integration, specialist make pages or multiple locations push it higher. SEO is optional, from $1,000 a month, month to month.

What a mechanic website costs

A generic trade template, or a site built for workshops

Most mechanic sites start from the same template as a painter's. Here's what changes when it's built for a workshop.

DIY site builder:

"Call us to book" as the only option.

"All makes and models" and no detail.

Logbook servicing mentioned once, if at all.

A mechanic website from Troov:

Online booking, day or night.

Pages for the makes and services you want more of.

Warranty-safe servicing explained in plain English.

Legal & Professional Services

Medical & Allied Health

Every client gets a website designed around their business, not a template with their logo dropped in. And every client gets ongoing management as standard, because a website that isn't maintained is a website that falls behind.

Only need part of it?

A new website is the starting point. If you want someone looking after it and growing it month to month, that's a separate service.

Ongoing search work and website management, month to month.

A new site on its own, built properly from the first page.

Getting found by nearby customers on Google Maps.
